Teaching Assistant Courses
If you are thinking of embarking on a career in education then one of our teaching assistant courses may be ideal for you. Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies. You also have access to a personal tutor by mail or email for a 12 month period. As the teaching assistant courses are self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer.
The Support Work in Schools - Level 2 Course and the Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools - Level 3 Course both lead to QCF listed Qualifications on successful completion. You can find full information on the qualifications on the individual course pages. There are no particular entry requirements meaning that the courses are available to anyone however you will have had to have had a 50 hour placement to be able to complete the Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (QCF) - Level 3 Course.
The awards and qualifications are issued through NCFE. NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators (‘regulators’) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Welsh Government and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
