This course is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of Human Physiology & Health for work or recreational purposes.
Objectives:
This Course Will:

The course is split into the following 6 Lessons:
- Lesson One - Essential Principals
The following topics are covered: Living Things and the Chemistry of Life.
- Lesson Two - Energy & Respiration
The following topics are covered: Diet and the Respiratory System, Digesting and using food, Photosynthesis, Food Chains and Web and The Respiratory System.
- Lesson Three - Perception and Reaction
The following topics are covered: Receiving information and Acting on information.
- Lesson Four - Physiology and Homeostasis
The following topics are covered: The Blood Circulatory System, Excretion, Homeostasis and Skeleton and Muscles.
- Lesson Five - Reproduction and Variation
The following topics are covered: Reproduction, Development, Genetics and Variation and Selection.
- Lesson Six – Humans and their Environment
The following topics are covered: Micro-Organisms and Health Defence of the Body against Infection and Illness, Treating Injury and Illness, Human Populations and Ecosystems and Practical Ecology.
Pre-Requirements:
There are no particular entry requirements.
Technical Support:
Once you have enrolled, you will have access to your own personal tutor by mail or email. You will receive full tutor support for a 12 month period.
Qualification:
The course consists of 6 lessons with set assignments to complete. The qualification is gained from your coursework and there is no exam to complete. On completion of this course students will be awarded with the ASET Level 3 Diploma in Human Physiology & Health. This award is at an equivalent to A Level or NVQ Level 3.
