This programme is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of how to plan and establish a small tourism based business.
 
During the course students will examine a range of topics enabling them to understand the nature of tourism businesses and plan a successful tourism venture. 

The course is split into the following 8 Lessons:

  • Lesson One – The Potential of the Tourism Industry.

  • Lesson Two – Choosing whether to enter the industry

  • Lesson Three – Operating a small tourism business

  • Lesson Four – How to establish various types of tourism Businesses

  • Lesson Five – Writing a business plan.

  • Lesson Six – Writing proposals.

  • Lesson Seven – Community Tourism planning.

  • Lesson Eight – Planning your Tourism venture.

Pre-Requirements:

There are no particular entry requirements.

Technical Support:

Once you have enrolled, you will have access to your own personal tutor by mail or email. You will receive full tutor support for a 12 month period.

Qualification:

The course consists of 8 modules with set assignments to complete. The qualification is gained from your coursework and there is no exam to complete. On completion of this course students will be awarded with the ASET Level 2 Certificate in Tourism Skills. This award is at an equivalent to GCSE or NVQ Level 2.
