The Safety Compliance - Level 2 Course is designed for people working in any industry sector wishing to gain an understanding of health and safety legislation and how to adopt good practice in the subject.
 
Please Note: Students for this course will need to be able to relate answers to a current or recent workplace environment.
 
On successful completion of the course you will receive a recognised level 2 award (Comparable to working at GCSE or NVQ Level 2).

The course is split into the following 16 Units:

  • Unit One - Introduction to Safety Compliance

  • Unit Two - Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

  • Unit Three - Management of Health & Safety at Work Regs

  • Unit Four – Risk Assessment

  • Unit Five - Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992

  • Unit Six - Health and Safety Regulations 1992

  • Unit Seven - Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations

  • Unit Eight - Personal Protective Equipment Regulations

  • Unit Nine - Workplace (Health Safety and Welfare) Regulations

  • Unit Ten – Fire Safety

  • Unit Eleven - First Aid. An introduction

  • Unit Twelve – Accident Reporting

  • Unit Thirteen - Health & Safety Training

  • Unit Fourteen - Lifting Operations and Lifting Regulations

  • Unit Fifteen - Electricity at Work

  • Unit Sixteen - Hazardous Substances

Course Duration:

Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies. The course will take approximately 80 hours of study to complete.

Pre-Requirements:

There are no particular entry requirements.

Technical Support:
Once you have enrolled, you will have access to your own personal tutor by mail or email. You will receive full tutor support for a 12 month period.
 
Qualification:
 
The award is gained from successfully completed coursework so there is no exam to complete.
 
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a Level 2 Safety Compliance Award.
 
This award has been independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and is comparable to working at GCSE or NVQ Level 2.

The award is issued through NCFE. NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
