SAFE HANDLING OF MEDICINES COURSE

This Programme is designed for students who wish to gain an understanding of principals and practice of the Safe Handling of Medicines.
The course leads to the award of the Certificate in Safe Handling of Medicines (Level 2) ASET, a leading UK awarding body recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.
The course is designed for study by distance learning at work or at home. Students receive course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail and email. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to one year from the time of registration.

- Lesson 8: Controlled Drugs
- Lesson 9: Common Side Effects from Medicines in the Older Service User
- Lesson 10: Errors Associated with the Administration of Medicine
- Lesson 11: Oxygen Therapy in a Care Home
- Lesson 12: Disposal of Medicines Confidentiality
- Lesson 13: Confidentiality
- Lesson 14: Competency in Clinical
Pre-Requirements:
There are no particular entry requirements.
Technical Support
Once you have enrolled, you will have access to your own personal tutor by mail or email. You will receive full tutor support for a 12 month period.
Qualification The course consists of 14 lessons with set assignments to complete. The qualification is gained from your coursework and there is no exam to complete. On completion of this course students will be awarded with the ASET Level 2 Certificate in Safe Handling of Medicines. Thisaward is at an equivalent to GCSE or NVQ Level 2.
