This lesson contains the following topics: Buying & selling properties; Checklist for buying a property; Checklist of the process of buying a property and Property and Legal Glossary.
- Lesson Four – The Development Market
This lesson contains the following topics: Where to buy; Types of property; and Listed buildings.
- Lesson Five – Finance for Property Development
This lesson contains the following topics: Mortgages; Government and Council schemes; Budgets & Taxes.
- Lesson Six – Working with Plans
This lesson contains the following topics: Introduction to layout; and Working with plans.
- Lesson Seven – Understanding Building Regulations
This lesson contains the following topics: Introduction to building regulations; How to apply for building regulations approval; and How building regulations are enforced and how to appeal.
- Lesson Eight – Planning a Property Development
This lesson contains the following topics: Structure; Surveys; Design; Rentability; and Sale.
- Lesson Nine – Project Management

PART B: DEVELOPING SMALL BUSINESS SKILLS

Pre-Requirements:
There are no particular entry requirements.
Technical Support
Once you have enrolled, you will have access to your own personal tutor by mail or email. You will receive full tutor support for a 12 month period.
Qualification
The course consists of 19 lessons with set assignments to complete. The qualification is gained from your coursework and there is no exam to complete.
On completion of this course students will be awarded with the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Property Development (9 Learning Credits). This award is at an equivalent to A Level or NVQ Level 3.
