The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Windows Server 2003 Certification can advance your career by ensuring you have the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.
The MCSA Server 2003 Certification reflects a unique set of skills required to succeed in a variety of job roles, such as systems administrator, network administrator, information systems administrator, network operations analyst, network technician, and technical support specialist.

PLEASE NOTE: The MCSA Course consists of 4 individual MCP Courses and the courses are designed as theory-based courses but do contain all relevant information on how to complete practical exercises if you have the available equipment, software & resources available.
The MCSA Course will consist of the following MCSA Courses:
1 Core Operating System Course (You must select one of the following courses):

70-270 - Installing, Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional

70-620 - Windows Vista, Configuring
2 Core Networking Course (Both required)

70-290 – Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment

70-291 – Implementing, Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
1 Elective Course (You select one of the following)

70-284 – Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

70-431 – Microsoft SQL Server 2005 – Implementation and Maintenance

70-299 - Implementing and Administering Security in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network
Please Note: Students can enter their preferred Microsoft
Elective Choices in the course order comments box when ordering.
As an alternative to the above elective options, certain certification or certification combinations may substitute for an MCP elective. For example, CompTIA A+ and Network+ together or CompTIA A+ and Server+ together can be credited and substituted for an elective through a Microsoft and CompTIA partnership agreement.
If you would like to undertake this CompTIA elective option then you can replace the Elective MCP course for both CompTIA A+ and Network+ or Server+ courses and the total course package would be £900.00.

Depending on your choice of courses there are varying pre-requisites and requirements. You should view the individual course information for each MCP Course for more detailed information.
Course Duration & Support:
Students may register at any time. The courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support. As the course is self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.
Assessment:
Assessment would be 4 MCP Examinations (or 3 MCP Examinations and additional CompTIA examinations if you are selecting the Elective CompTIA option).
All Examinations are in a multiple choice/multiple answer format. Qualification:

On completion ofeach course you can apply for the appropriate Internationally Recognised MCP examinations at any registered Prometric testing centre.
The Microsoft examination fees are £88 + VAT each, and there will be 4 exams to complete (Please view the relevant CompTIA Course information for exam fees if you are selecting the Elective CompTIA option).
