The Palliative Care – Level 2 Course is designed to be accessible for freestanding study by non-specialists in this area and to facilitate integration within employer training programmes in health and social care.
The Course covers the following Units:-

Unit 1: The principles of palliative care

Unit 2: Developing the skills to meet a person’s needs in palliative care

Unit 3: Meeting the needs of physical discomfort through pain relief

Unit 4: Offering support through final hours of life and bereavement care
Pre-Requisites:
There are no particular entry requirements.
Course Duration & Support:
The assessor/tutor will support the learner throughout the duration of the course. The learner will complete activities and an assignment in order to successfully complete the course. You will receive the course manual, assignments and tutor support.

Assessment:
Assessment is by a series of tutor marked assignments and a final end of course multi-choice questionnaire.

The award is gained from successfully completed coursework so there is no exam to complete.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a Palliative Care Level 2 Award.
This award has been independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and is comparable to working at GCSE or NVQ Level 2. |
