The Support Work in Schools & Teaching Assistant Course Bundle contains both the Support Work in Schools – Level 2 Course and the Teaching Assistant – Level 2 Course. The bundle gives you the opportunity to complete both courses for a saving of £50.00
The Support Work in Schools – Level 2 Course is available to learners 16+ who are interested in working within a school, particularly in the role of a Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. This is a knowledge based qualification suitable for all support staff roles in schools, including site staff, administrators etc as well as those who work directly with children and young people.
It seeks to develop the knowledge and understanding that all those working in a school setting will need and covers areas such as safeguarding, communication and understanding the school context.
The Teaching Assistant - Level 2 Course is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of teaching / classroom assistant roles. The aims of the home study courses are to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills appropriate the conduct of a classroom support role, and to participation in a wide range of classroom support a activities.
Course Duration & Support:
Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies. You also have access to a personal tutor by mail or email for a 12 month period. As the course is self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer.
Assessment:
The course is assessed through a series of written assignments, which are submitted then marked by your tutor. There is no external examination required.

On successful completion of each course, students will receive the Support Work in Schools – Level 2 Award Qualification and the Teaching Assistant – Level 2 Awards.
The Support Work in Schools Award Qualification is listed on the Qualifications and Credit Framework Database, accredited by NCFE at level 2.
The Teaching Assistant – Level 2 Award have been independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and are comparable to working at GCSE or NVQ Level 2. |

The Support Work in Schools Award Qualification and Teaching Assistant Award are issued through NCFE. NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
