The program also has robust abilities to create fresh and innovative images from scratch, build compact HTML code, and generate dynamic and interactive effects. Specifically written for the Web, Fireworks MX makes the process of building image rollovers, animated graphics, image maps, and pop-up menus a simple task.
 
The Course is Split into the Following Lessons:
  • Graphic File Formats for the Web
GIF, JPEG, and PNG, Compressing, Optimizing and Exporting Images in Fireworks MX and Tips to optimizing graphics.
  • Raster vs. Vector Graphics and working with Raster Graphics
Importing an image, Selecting pixels, Drawing Tools that modify Pixels, Applying filters to a raster graphic, Organizing content with Layers and The Layers Panel.
  • Working with Vectors to create images from scratch
Using the Tools to Draw Vector Graphics, Aligning and Grouping Objects, Ensuring precision with the Rulers, Grids, and Info panel and Converting a Vector Graphic to a Raster.
  • Modifying Paths & Strokes and Modifying Fills

Attaching Text to a Path, Fills, Transforming and Distorting, Patterned and Gradient Fills, Combining Fills and Masking.

  • Effects & Styles and Slicing
The Properties for a Slice and Exporting the Slices and the HTML Page.
  • Creating and Incorporating Backgrounds
Applying a Background Color and Creating and Incorporating Background Images.
  • Transparency & Anti-aliasing, Image Maps and Symbols
Transparency Settings, Image Maps, Converting a Graphic to a Symbol and Symbols within Symbols.
  • Editing & Updating Symbols
