The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist 70-620 (Configuring Windows Vista) Course is for entry-level computer administrators and help desk personnel who want to pass Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) exam 70-620.
Students will learn basic Windows Vista administrative skills, including installing and maintaining Windows Vista on desktop and notebook computers.
Topic coverage includes customization, troubleshooting, security, system monitoring/configuration, and file management. Student will also learn how to install applictaions, devices, drivers, and printers; how to configure and secure Internet Explorer 7; and how to work with mobile systems.

Pre-Requirements:

To complete the practical elements of this course, students would require a PC running Windows XP Professional (For upgrade purposes) and the following software packages: Windows Vista Ultimate; .NET Framework 2.0; MSXML6; Avast! Pro antivirus software (Evaluation copy available from www.avast.com); Ad-Aware 2007 (Free Copy Available); and Windows Vista Compatible drivers for all hardware on the PC.
Students would also require the following network requirements: DHCP, DNS, and a network infrastructure (Cabling, hubs, switches etc); Internet access; and a wireless network.
