The MOS Word 2016 Course (Desktop / Office 365) is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of the Microsoft Word software environment and aims to give students the ability to complete tasks independently in preparation for their Microsoft Office Specialist exam. Students will learn how to demonstrate the correct application of the principle features of Word 2016 by creating and editing documents for a variety of purposes and situations. Document examples include professional-looking reports, multi-column newsletters, resumes, and business correspondence.

Designated as approved course materials for the Microsoft Office Specialist program, this course will help students prepare for the MOS Core Word 2016 exam (77-725: Core Document Creation, Collaboration and Communication) and can also be used as a learning resource for the MOS Expert Word exam (77-726: Creating Documents for Effective Communication).

Please Note: You will need a version of Microsoft Office 2016 to be able to use the GMetrix software package.


There are no particular entry requirements as the course is set out for beginners although students will require their own version of Microsoft Word 2016 to complete the course.

Course Duration & Support:

Students may register at any time. The courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support. As the course is self-study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.

APPLE MAC USERS: We recommend this course is completed on a PC with the Windows Operating System. The course can be run on an Apple Macs using software such as Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop 7, VMware fusion or CrossOver Mac although we cannot support any issues that may occur with PC-Based software running on a Mac.


Assessment is in the form of MOS Examinations. MOS 2016 Examinations are project-based simulations which are designed to offer real world exercises to appraise a student's understanding of using Microsoft Office.


MOS Word 2016 CourseOn completion of this course students can apply for the Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2016 77-725 Exam and the Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2016 Expert 77-726 Exam.

Examinations must be sat at a registered Certiport Testing Centre. Exam vouchers (Valid for 12 Months) can be purchased from via our website for £75.00. We usually advise buying a voucher when you are ready to sit your test, although you can add this to your order when you purchase your course.
