The MOS Outlook 2016 (Desktop / Office 365) Course is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Outlook and they will learn to create and edit professional-looking email messages, maintain calendars across time zones, and schedule tasks for a variety of purposes and situations. Students will also learn to enhance professional correspondence, create calendars, and schedule appointments. Outlook Application examples include coordinating building resources, sending messages for marketing campaigns, planning staff meetings, and assigning meeting action items. The course aims to give students the ability to complete tasks independently in preparation for their Microsoft Office Specialist exam.

Designated as approved course materials for the Microsoft Office Specialist program, this course will help students prepare for the MOS Outlook 2016 exam (77-731: Core Communication, Collaboration and Email Skills).

Please Note: You will need a version of Microsoft Office 2016 to be able to use the GMetrix software package.


There are no particular entry requirements as the course is set out for beginners although students will require their own version of Microsoft Outlook 2016 to complete the course.

Course Duration & Support:

Students may register at any time. The courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support team. As the course is self-study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.

APPLE MAC USERS: We recommend this course is completed on a PC with the Windows Operating System. The course can be run on an Apple Macs using software such as Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop 7, VMware fusion or CrossOver Mac although we cannot support any issues that may occur with PC-Based software running on a Mac.


Assessment is in the form of MOS Examinations. MOS 2016 Examinations are project-based simulations which are designed to offer real world exercises to appraise a student's understanding of using Microsoft Office.


MOS PowerPoint 2013 CourseOn completion of this course students can apply for the Microsoft MOS Outlook 77-731 Examination.

Exams must be sat at a registered Certiport Testing Centre. Exam vouchers (Valid for 12 Months) can be purchased via our website for £75.00. We advise buying this when you are ready to sit your test, although you can add this to your order when you purchase your course.
