The MOS Access 2016 Course (Desktop / Office 365) is designed to give students an understanding of database design principles and on successful completion you will be able to demonstrate the correct application of the principle features of Access 2016, and demonstrate the ability to create and maintain Access database objects, including tables, relationships, data entry forms, multi-level reports, and multi-table queries. The course aims to give students the ability to complete tasks independently in preparation for their Microsoft Office Specialist exam.

Designated as approved course materials for the Microsoft Office Specialist program, this course will help students prepare for the MOS Access 2016 exam (77-730: Core Database Management, Manipulation, and Query Skills).

On successful completion of this course book students will have a foundational understanding of Microsoft Office Access 2016, including the skills necessary to create a new database, construct data tables, design forms and reports, and create queries.

On successful completion of this course book students will have learnt to construct relational databases, will be able to perform database maintenance and will be able to create advanced queries and reports.

On successful completion of this course book students will have covered database management, advanced form design, packaging a database, encrypting a database, and preparing a database for multi-user access.

  • Lock down and prepare a database for distribution to multiple users.
  • Create and modify a database switchboard and set the start-up options.

Student Exercise Files:

Once enrolled students will receive a support email giving them access to their student files and to PowerPoint presentations relevant to the content of each unit.

Please Note: You will need a version of Microsoft Office 2016 to be able to use the GMetrix software package.

Prerequisites:

There are no particular entry requirements as the course is set out for beginners although students will require their own version of Microsoft Access 2016 to complete the course.

Course Duration & Support:

Students may register at any time. The courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support team. As the course is self-study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.

APPLE MAC USERS: We recommend this course is completed on a PC with the Windows Operating System. The course can be run on an Apple Macs using software such as Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop 7, VMware fusion or CrossOver Mac although we cannot support any issues that may occur with PC-Based software running on a Mac.

Assessment:

Assessment is in the form of MOS Examinations. MOS 2016 Examinations are project-based simulations which are designed to offer real world exercises to appraise a student's understanding of using Microsoft Office.

Qualification:

MOS PowerPoint 2013 CourseOn completion of this course students can apply for the Microsoft Office Specialist Access 2016 77-730 Exam.

Examinations must be sat at a registered Certiport Testing Centre. Exam vouchers (Valid for 12 Months) can be purchased from via our website for £65.00. We usually advise buying a voucher when you are ready to sit your test, although you can add this to your order when you purchase your course.
