Gain the CACHE Level 3 Childcare & Education Award Qualification

The Childcare and Education - CACHE Level 3 Award (RQF) Online Course is an excellent foundation for those wanting to start a career in Childcare and acts as an ideal preparation for students who want to progress on to the CACHE Level 3 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma qualifications.

The competition for jobs in childcare has increased in recent years and employers increasingly look for job applicants holding nationally recognised qualifications. This CACHE course provides students with a Level 3 qualification especially designed for those looking to work with children ages 0-5 in a professional childcare setting.

The Diploma level qualification would enable learners to gain the knowledge and experience to allow them to work with children from birth to 5 years in a non-supervised capacity although this is difficult to achieve through distance learning and usually requires the student to already be within a workplace setting for the assessment. The Award qualification is still a valuable qualification and would be suitable for those looking to improve their chances in this competitive area with a long-term view to working with children in a supervised capacity. The qualification is also suitable for those already working in childcare as a part of their CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

After studying this course student will be able to:

  • Understand development from conception to birth and routine screening programmes in the first year of life.
  • Understand stages and sequences of development from birth to seven years.
  • Understand theory and educational frameworks which inform knowledge and understanding of early years practice.
  • Understand the role of the early years practitioner when promoting child development from birth to seven years.
  • Understand how to plan opportunities for children's learning and development from birth to five years.
  • Understand children's needs in relation to emotional well-being.
  • Understand the needs of children during transition and significant events.
  • Understand the physical care needs of children.
  • Understand the impact of the early years environment on the health and well-being of children.
  • Understand the nutritional needs of children.
  • Understand the impact of poor diet on children's health and well-being.

Understand children's need for exercise.

On successful completion on this course students will receive an accredited CACHE Level 3 Award Qualification with up to 28 UCAS Points.
