All Edexcel specification IGCSE Exams must be taken at a registered examination centre as a private candidate. Most IGCSE examination centres in the UK will be independent or private schools who are offering that specification. Edexcel IGCSE exams can also be sat in over 150 countries through International Schools or British Consulates.
We offer course materials and tutor support although we don't offer the examinations. An Examinations Officer can assist any registered student with finding centres, but we do not book exams on behalf of students and it is the students responsibility to book their exams. If you would like to research exam centres prior to enrolment then you can visit the Edexcel page for private candidates.
Examination Dates and Exam fees:
Most IGCSE examinations are only available in the Summer examination window although some exams (Sciences and Maths) can be sat in a January examination window. We recommend students aim for the Summer examination window as there are less centres available for the January exams. If students are aiming towards the January exams, we recommend finding a centre before enrolling on the course. Examination fees need to be paid direct to your chosen exam centre. Prices for exams will vary depending on the exam centre's administration costs.
Please Note: The nearest examination window we can accept students aiming towards for all IGCSE Courses is now Summer 2023.
Any student aiming for the Summer 2023 examination window will need to be enrolled by 15 November 2022. Students can aim towards Summer 2024 exams if that is their preference, providing the specification is still available.
January 2023 Examination Window: Some IGCSEs also have a winter exam sitting in January. These include English Language, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Economics. The closing date for learners enroling and aiming for January 2023 examinations is 31 May 2022.
