AS/A2 Level Courses

All AS Level's are now in a new linear format. Traditionally the AS Level was the first half of a full A Level, but in this new format they are now considered a separate qualification. The AS Level still represents what is covered in the first half of an A Level, but students cannot carry the marks they achieve forward to the full A level.

The AS Level can be useful for students who only require a certain amount of UCAS points, although students wanting to complete a full A Level should purchase a course from the A Level Section of our website. Students sitting an A Level over two years could still sit their AS Level exams after the first year of study and then sit the full A Level exams the year after and gain two separate qualifications. You can't sit AS Level and A Level exams in a single exam window as the exam dates would be the same.

Please Note: We strongly advise that candidates read our course guide, which explains in detail about the courses, possible exam dates and the procedures for being a private candidate and finding exam centres etc.

Useful Information:

Special Requirements:

  • You can start an AS Level course at any time but you can only sit your examination in an appropriate examination window (May/June).
  • We will only admit students for AS Levels who have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C and above or equivalent qualifications. These would ideally include English and Maths.
  • All AQA specification A Level examinations have to be sat in the UK. Edexcel exams can be sat in suitable exam centres overseas.
  • We cannot accept students under the age of 18 on AS Level courses

AS Level Exam Dates:

AS Level exams are sat in the May/June examination window. Students can decide to study over a one year or two year period (Providing the specification and exams are available over that duration). You can sign up for a course at any time although course tutors set closing dates for students aiming for specific examination windows.

Please Note: The closing date set by tutors for AS Level students aiming for exams in May/June 2018 has passed and we can only accept students aiming for May/June 2019 exams. The closing date for students aiming for exams in May/June 2019 will be in October 2018.

Students must select their chosen examination window and will be supported until they complete their studies. If students struggle to complete their studies in time for their chosen exams then they can defer to the next possible window for a cost of £15.00 providing the exam specification is the same.

Payment Options:

All courses can be paid in full or purchased using our interest free instalment plan which spreads payments over a 4 month period.

Students purchasing more than one AS Level Course can receive a 5% discount by applying the following code on our checkout page: ASLEVEL5

Order Process:

When you order a course via the website, you will be directed to an online student information form which needs to be filled in and submit (A link to this form will also be emailed to you). We need this form to be submit before we process your application. We will not process any payment or send any course materials until that information is returned to us. Once returned a course advisor will contact you to go over the important information about your study and the exams and will then arrange the delivery of your course materials. All applications are subject to acceptance from our course advisory team.
